RA4 TOOL: Myrtle Rust Risk Prediction
The Myrtle Rust Risk Prediction platform was built by HortPlus and combines weather data from a national network of weather stations in key areas. The data feed into a model developed by Dr Robert Beresford at Plant & Food Research to generate local predictions of myrtle rust risk.
This platform is freely available to all — tangata whenua, the nursery industry, conservation groups, myrtle rust researchers and the public — to help determine the risk for myrtle rust based on local weather conditions.
