This is a collection of Māori research intern stories for the Biological Heritage National Science Challenge. The Biological Heritage National Science Challenge has a comprehensive work programme featuring mātauranga Māori.

The te reo Māori in this booklet generally adheres to the macron conventions and language structure established by Te Taura Whiri i te Reo Māori in 2009. However, some authors have chosen to use double vowels, following the writing convention reflected in the written Tainui dialect.
