Te maunga e tautari mai naa - he pukapuka teenei e whakamaanawa ana i ngaa mahi tiaki kiwi na Maia Hauata (Ngāti Apakura, Waikato-Maniapoto, Ngāti Kahungunu, Ngāti Porou, Ngāti Whakaue). Kua tuhia ngaa koorero o te pukapuka nei i te mita o Tainui naa runga i ngaa hononga whakapapa o Maia ki ngaa hapuu heke iho mai i te waka o Tainui.
Te maunga e tautari mai naa - a book about the kiwi conservation efforts by Maia Hauata (Ngāti Apakura, Waikato-Maniapoto, Ngāti Kahungunu, Ngāti Porou, Ngāti Whakaue). The story in this book uses the mita (pronunciation/dialect) of Tainui, reflecting Maia's genealogical connections with the tribes descended from the canoe of Tainui.
This is one of six books, written in te reo Māori, in a series about nature and conservation efforts around New Zealand produced through the NZ Biological Heritage National Science Challenge.
